1. The Antminer S9 contains a total of 3 computing boards. Each board is powered by 3 PCI-e connectors.

The Antminer S9 adopts a dual-fan, triple-hashboard mining machine design, and the body is integrally formed. It uses a precision die-casting design and aluminum alloy materials to provide strong protection for the computing chip and enhance the overall heat dissipation efficiency of the body.
S9 is composed of three hashrate boards, each of which has three PCI-E6pin interfaces, and three data lines from the hashrate board to the control board.
From the front of the miner, you can see the configuration of the IP address feedback button, network cable interface, reset button and status indicator. The front fan of the miner can also be seen from the front, and the wind can be taken in from this side. From the back of the miner, you can see the cooling fan of the miner, and the miner emits wind from this side. S9 uses Bitmain's self-developed BM1387 chip, with 63 chips on each computing board, and each chip is equipped with an independent heat sink. The overall internal structure of the mining machine is very compact, and the interval of the cooling modules extends to bring a larger heat dissipation area. The interval also forms a unique air duct inside the mining machine, which can maximize the use of fans and structural cavity to maximize the heat dissipation effect.
Heat and noise
Using the Antminer PPLNS mode for mining, the test site is a conference room with an area of about 30 square meters, the room temperature is 28 degrees, and the heat and noise test is performed after the mining machine runs for 24 hours.
10cm away from the air outlet of the Antminer S9, the measured noise of the mining machine is 88dB, but the noise drops to 70 decibels 1 meter away. After closing the door, there was no obvious sound.
